San Diego California Temple
Located in La Jolla, this is the 45th operating temple of the Mormon faith. It was dedicated in April 1993, but was closed for the last three years for renovation. These renovations have now been completed and the Mormons have opened it for public viewing from June 18, 2026 through July 11, 2026. This would be the first time in thirty years that the general public would have had a chance to see inside the building. It is due to be rededicated on August 23, 2026, after this date it will again be restricted from public viewing. I had an opportunity to visit on June 25, 2026 and below is a gallery of the photos I took. Photography inside the building was strictly prohibited. Learn more about the open house.
